Senior Editor Lenny Rudow gave this video review of the BlackJack 224, describing it as an “unexpected gem” from Bill and Gary Kenner, who have “years of boat building experience.”.
The Blackjack 224 is one heck of an unusual bay boat. Start with its looks: it has tumblehome at the transom, a widely-flared bow, and a hard chine that swoops up to the bow. Then check out the features list. BlackJack Boats is a sure-thing compared to its in-class fellow bays. Dollar for dollar you cannot match the performance, styling and value delivered by a BlackJack.

I saw one over the weekend. It was the 256 and had the new Mercury 400R motor on it.
I was blown away at how beautiful the boat was. T top, dual 12' Simrads flush mounted to the console. All decking and rubbpoints inside had grey matting.
I'm pretty sure it's the most beautiful bay boat I've ever seen personally.
What manufacturers make better boats than this one?
Does Yellowfin still rank as the best?
Boat looked like this except the sea decking

That said, if money were no object to me, I'd buy a brand new blackjack 24 for my inshore and mangrove needs.

my experience with K2 has been great anytime I needed something. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a blackjack over other boats in its class.

Their new 'coastal' 25 footer is a concept I really like as well, with the open rear end like an offshore CC. Camp neighbor had one, loaded out, $120K. Can get a whole lot of other brand of boat for 120K, though.

You have to stop, it's infatuation and dangerous
Same with Yellowfin right? I was just amazed by the thoughtful layout of the hull, easy access side rod holder compartments, slight deadrise of the bow. And that 400R. I've never seen a 24' boat with a 400 racing motor on it
You need to get out more, Majek, Haynie have been hanging them since they came out.
If money were no object; Morada, Billfish, Dorado,YF

I have a buddy with a 24 Everglades and it is nice.
Another buddy just bought a 26 Crevelle and that’s a sweet rig. I know they had one a year or so back with a transom issue but I think they worked that out. They are really nice and can be rigged with a 400R also.

We love it when the BlackJack gets a great online review, and boats.com did just that at the Palm Beach Boat Show in Palm Beach, Florida. Senior Editor Lenny Rudow gave this video review of the BlackJack 224, describing it as an “unexpected gem” from Bill and Gary Kenner, who have “years of boat building experience.”
As you’ll see, Rudow praises many of the 224’s features, which also come standard with the 256. He points out the finish and locks on hatches, how the live-well is insulated (to ensure more stable water temperature for better bait) and how handy it is to have a second live-well toward the bow.
“It’s a a small detail, but an important thing that sets [the BlackJack] as a serious fishing boat,” he said.
Other thoughtful features Rudow focuses on are the trim switch on the bow to raise an outboard motor in shallow water, and rod tubes in the storage compartment to help protect expensive rods.

Watch for yourself why he describes the BlackJack as a “sweet ride.” Then locate a nearby dealer to see a BlackJack boat firsthand and schedule a test ride.
