It comes with 32 GB internal storage and it can be expanded up to 512 GB using a dedicated SD card slot. The phone supports dual sim operation. The phone has the Samsung One UI which runs on Android Pie and the user interface is clean and easy to use. Samsung has really improved on their software part in 2019 phones.

Coming to the camera part, we have a dual read camera with 13 MP primary sensor and 5 MP ultra-wide sensor and the front camera has an 8 MP sensor. The camera performs good for the price range and the picture has decent colors and sharpness. We were quite impressed by seeing the image quality from an entry-level smartphone.

6. Realme 5

Realme has been soaring high with each of its smartphones. Realme 5 packs in a big 6.5-inch display with HD+ resolution. The back has a polycarbonate body with an upgraded diamond-cut design compared to previous Realme phones. The build quality is good but the phone is slightly heavy and the big screen somewhat interferes with 1 hand usage.

Coming to the camera, we get to see a quad-camera setup at the back for the first time under 10k smartphone. There are 12MP (Primary) + 8MP (Wide angle) + 2MP (Marco) + 2MP (Depth) sensor at the back and the front camera has a 13 MP sensor. The camera is absolutely top-notch for an under 10k budget. The photos show good detailing when zoomed in and the colors are decent with proper sharpness.

With a dedicated macro sensor, the close-up shots capture good images and also has a dedicated ultra macro mode. The front camera too takes up good photos in daylight but has some noise in the low light conditions. You can record video up to 1080 pixels and EIS helps is overall stabilization.

We get the latest Color OS 6 based on Android Pie. The face unlocking and fingerprint unlocking are very fast as seen in previous Realme phones. There is a big 5000 mAh which contributes to the weight and thickness of the smartphone. It offers a big 2 days backup so you will be at ease most of the time. The phone does not support fast charging and it takes about 3 hours for the complete charge using the 10W charger in the box.

Samsung Galaxy A20 is a part of the latest A series from Samsung and come with great value for money. 9. Honor 8X

Honor 7X was a decent smartphone with a decent display, average camera and battery and looks were not that great as well. The Honor 8X improves in all areas and is a much better package. It comes with a large 6.5-inch notch display with very thin bezels all around. The overall size of the phone is the same as any other 5.5-inch phone with a 16:9 aspect ratio display. The display is bright and sharp with good colors and viewing angles. For the price, it is a very nice display and won't disappoint you.

The back of the Honor 8X is made of polycarbonate and has a reflective dual-tone design which looks very cool. Design-wise, this is clearly the best smartphone under 15000. The in-hand feel is also good and the phone feels premium.

The Honor 8X is powered by Kirin 710 processor which is an octa-core chipset running at 2.2GHz. For multitasking, there is 4GB of RAM and for storing pictures, songs, videos there is 64GB of storage. The processor and RAM combination is sufficient for medium to heavy usage and the phone doesn't lag even while switching between a lot of apps. There is also a 128GB variant if you are someone who likes to store a ton of data on their phones.

The Honor 8X comes with a large 3750 mAh battery which would last for 1 to 1.5 days with medium usage. With low usage, you can get even 2 days of backup.

On the camera side, we have a dual 20MP+2MP setup on the rear and 16MP camera on the front for selfies. Portrait mode pictures can be taken from both front and rear cameras. The camera performance in daylight conditions is good. The pictures look nice with a good amount of details. Color reproduction is decent and edge detection also works well in portrait mode. The low light performance is good but not great. Honor has also added plenty of AI features that do improve camera performance in certain cases.

Overall, Honor 8X is a great smartphone and is priced very well. It offers great value for money and is one of our favorite in the under 12000 category of smartphones.

10. Redmi Note 6 Pro 6GB

Redmi Note 6 Pro is the successor of Redmi Note 5 Pro which was the bestselling dual camera phone of 2018. Note 6 Pro is very much like the 5 Pro and has some little improvements. The design and body are same as that of Note 5 Pro. The only major change in looks is that the display has a notch on the top. The dual camera placement on the back is still same as before.

On the front, Xiaomi has added a secondary sensor with the main 20MP sensor and the selfies also come out good with proper edge detection. You can also change the amount of bokeh after taking the pictures.

Overall, Redmi Note 6 Pro is a well-balanced device with great camera performance. If you are a Redmi fan and need a good camera phone then go for it, otherwise, take a look at Realme 2 Pro and Honor 8X which look much better than Note 6 Pro but cameras aren't that good.
